Mixing

We turn your multitracks into focused stereo mixes with clear balance, space and dynamics. From our Nakameguro control room we handle both unattended work and attended sessions.

Mixing shapes the contour listeners hear first: how close the vocal sits, how the low end supports the song, how cymbals breathe in the chorus. At Lefsenlayerco we tune those choices to genre and lyric mood. Delivery is stereo WAV or AIFF, ready for streaming or hand-off to Mastering.

Clients range from artists who tracked at home or other rooms, bands needing polish on a demo, podcast producers with music beds, and labels sending batches for a fixed quote. Prices on this page include 10% VAT; the binding amount is always on your written quote after contact.

Unattended vs attended

Most projects run while you are elsewhere. Send material via cloud or drive; we return a first mix, then you send consolidated feedback by email or video call. Attended sessions use the control room within Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–22:00; closed Monday and Sunday. Evening sessions by appointment. at ¥11,000 per hour. The room has a 24-input hybrid console and 2 pairs of nearfield monitors.

Attended time works well for direction: vocal depth, kick-and-bass relationship, chorus lift—not always for tweeting every EQ knob. Many clients decide the overall picture together, then refine offline. See how mix pricing is built for scope tips.

How to send material

Export one file per track (stems), all starting at the same bar 1 beat 1. We recommend 24-bit, 48 kHz WAV or AIFF. If you send a full project, list plugins and versions. When vocals include heavy processing, a dry alternate helps.

When you contact us, include song title, track count, deadline and reference links or files. We reply within 2 business days with a quote anchored on ¥24,200 per song. Album packages get volume pricing on the quote. Read terms and conditions on rights and material before sending.

B2B quotes can show net amounts (e.g. ¥22,000). The 30% deposit confirms booking; balance is due before final delivery. Bundled quotes cover other services when you book mix with recording.

Revisions and turnaround

Standard mixing includes 2 revision rounds after the first presentation. One round means one batch of notes applied together—specific notes move faster than vague ones. Large changes (new recording, new arrangement) are quoted separately.

Turnaround depends on length and track count; a clean single often lands within roughly 5–10 business days from start. Rush work may be possible with attended time and surcharges. Deadlines appear on the quote and follow terms and conditions on delivery.

Delivery formats

Final mixes are stereo 24-bit WAV (or AIFF on request) at 44.1 or 48 kHz. Tell us if you need a streaming loudness target (for example near -14 LUFS). Apple Digital Masters prep happens in Mastering.

Stem delivery uses ¥8,800 per agreed pack—drums bus, bass, vocals, instruments, and so on. We do not deliver MP3-only masters. Files go via secure link or your SSD; we delete archives after 12 months, so keep your own backup.

Not included

Mix fees do not cover new Vocal recording or Band recording recording, heavy time-alignment, major pitch correction, re-tracking, alternate mixes for video, unlimited revisions, or courier costs. Those are quoted upfront when needed.

Mastering, metadata, distribution upload and artwork are separate. FAQ entries on rates and delivery add detail.
