Digital masters for streaming
Most artists need 48 kHz / 24-bit WAV masters with peak headroom suitable for encoder conversion. We can also supply 44.1 kHz / 16-bit if your distributor explicitly requires CD-rate files. Each song is one master file unless you need clean edits for radio.
We do not embed personal metadata in the audio file unless requested; platforms read your upload form. ISRCs should be listed in your delivery sheet—we can slot placeholders if you assign codes later via Contact.
Loudness targets
Streaming services normalize playback. We master to integrated loudness that translates well after normalization—typically near −14 LUFS for many global platforms, with true peak below −1 dBTP. Japanese platforms follow similar practice; tell us if a label brief specifies a different ceiling.
Attended listening sessions can compare your reference against our master at matched loudness. Major level changes after approval count as a new revision round under Terms (default 2 rounds).
DDP, CD and vinyl
Physical CD replication needs a DDP image or PMCD-ready material with PQ codes, ISRCs and CD-Text if used. Pressing plants in Japan often ask for a DDP upload plus a printed track sheet. We can prepare DDP as a quoted add-on—state it when booking ¥55,000 bundles or per-track work.
Vinyl cutting uses a lacquer or digital file prepared to the cutter’s spec. Test pressings are reviewed at the plant; our ¥9,900 digital master is the starting point, not the lacquer itself. Allow lead time for manufacturing.
Stem masters and MFiT
Some clients want instrumental or vocal masters for sync—bill them as separate masters. Apple Digital Masters (formerly MFiT) may be requested for certain aggregators; we can export compliant files when the mix source allows.
Podcast or narration masters sometimes need −16 LUFS mono-friendly files; note the use case on podcast rights guide if guests are involved.
Delivery mechanics
We deliver via secure download link by default. USB handoff at 目黒区中目黒1-5-8 レフセンビル3F is possible by appointment during Tue–Sat 10–22. Files remain on our servers for 12 months per Privacy policy, then deleted—save local copies immediately.
Checksum or file list PDF helps your label admin verify receipt. Large EP sets benefit from one folder per track with consistent naming: Artist_Title_Master_48k24.wav.
From mix to master
Send mixes with headroom—no limiter smashed on the mix bus unless artistic. Note any fades, secret tracks or gapless sequence for albums. EP packages up to six tracks map to ¥55,000 when mastered together in one project ID.
If Mixing happened at Lefsenlayerco, engineers already know tonal goals; outside mixes need a reference and noise-free files. See mix pricing if you still need mixing.
